Vasylyna Vrublevska is a Ukrainian photographer whose work explores the materiality of film and the shifting nature of the photographic image. Over the past 16 years, she has worked across fashion photography, portraiture, and reportage, experimenting with the medium's documentary potential. By deliberately overexposing photographic film in-camera, she creates abstract landscapes where color and texture take on a tactile presence. This process transforms the image, shifting its meaning and inviting the viewer to construct their own narratives.
Her work has been presented in two solo exhibitions at Lane Gallery London-Black Sun (2024) and The Garden of Nothing (2023)-each reflecting her ongoing exploration of photography as both material and experience.
